Our Curriculum

ADMISSION & WITHDRAWAL

Children are admitted on the basis of Registration as per the availability of seats in the class. Registration does not assure admission. When the registration form is submitted, date of interview is given. Admission form is issued to the successful child. The Principal reserves the right to refuse admission to any child without giving any reason.

Pupils cannot be admitted into the school without the Transfer Certificate of the school last attended. Candidate joining the school first time from home has to produce an official & authentic birth certificate in support of the date of birth entered in the admission form. In case of non submission of the above mentioned certificates, T.C will not be issued.

Admission fee is to be paid on arrival of each new scholar. Those who after withdrawal return to the school after a break are included under the term of newcomer and must pay admission fees again.

  1. If the parents/guardians wish to withdraw their ward in the mid academic session, the next quarter's fees in addition to the fees of the running quarter in which the application for withdrawal/T.C is made has to be paid. Transfer Certificate will not be issued unless all school dues have been cleared either in mid session or after completing the session.

  2. It is mandatory that pupils as well as parents will abide by the rules and regulation of the school. The Principal has the right to suspend the student or demand the withdrawal of any pupil whose conduct or progress is not satisfactory.

  3. No pupil should leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal.

  4. If any Bill / Law implemented on the institution by the state / union government for the disadvantaged & economically weaker section, the rules-regulations & norms etc. may be extended / subdued for the candidates who are coming under that category.

  1. School authorities are not responsible for the medical / monetary or any other claim, if any accident or injury takes place while playing, picnic or during activities, practicals etc.
  2. The aim of St. Mary's Convent School is the healthy development of the scholars spiritually, intellectually, physically and socially, so that he/she will find a meaning in life and hope for the future. The interpretation of any rule in this as well as any amendment to it, rests solely and entirely with the governing body of the school. This interpretation shall be final and binding on parents and students and this shall not be challenged before any authority or court of law.
  3. Annual composite fees will be charged for 12 calendar months.
  4. The school authorities will not be responsible for the student's loss of tiffin box, money, books, articles or clothing etc. Articles found in the school are to be handed over to the office. Bringing or wearing costly articles in the school is not allowed.

  1. Student who is absent for more than one month without any intimation to the Principal,OR whose remissible school fees is pending for more than one quarterly instalment his/her name will be struck off from the school rolls and in case of re-joining the admission fee will be recharged and the school authorities may exercise their right of not re-admitting any student.
  2. The engagement of any teaching staff of the school as a private tutor shall not be allowed.
  3. Parents and students will follow and abide by all the rules and regulations, circulars and instructions issued by the management from time to time.
  4. Application for a Transfer Certificate should be given in writing to the Principal by the Parent / Guardian of the pupil. A three days written notice is required to issue the T.C.
  5. The Principal reserves the right to refuse admission to any student without giving any reason and to suspend or demand the withdrawal of any student whose conduct or progress is not satisfactory.

Guideline for Parents

PARENT TEACHER MEETING

According to time and need PTM is conducted in school to make parents aware of their wards performance. It creates a healthy relation between Parents and authorities.

  1. When corresponding with the Principal, parents are requested to mention the class and section in which their children are studying. The Principal, may be seen in his office on working days, during school hours.
  2. No school business will be transacted on holidays.
  3. Parents/Guardians are earnestly asked to cooperate with the school authorities and see that their children or wards are on the assembly ground five minutes before the morning bell.
  4. Parents, guardians or other persons are not allowed to see the children or meet their teachers during school hours without the permission of the Principal. They are requested to bring their suggestions, or complaints directly to the Principal and not to any member of the staff.
  5. Parents are earnestly requested to check the school diary of their children regularly to countersign the remarks if any, made by the teacher or the Principal.
  6. Parents are requested to attend the Parent Teacher meeting which is held on any one Saturday of every month. These meetings are contact-meetings between the management, teachers and the parents who are all involved in giving the best education of the child. These are also occasions for the parents to let the teachers know that they not only pay the fees but also care for the teacher's efforts and work for their child.
  7. If Parents/Guardians require change in the name of their ward, date of birth certificate, tuition fee certificate etc. for their official formalities, in this regard, processing fee will be charged for the same.
  8. Send timely response for various circular, notices, letters. Please do come and contact the person concerned, if you are requested to, without any fail.
  9. Intimate change of address, phone numbers etc. immediately.

The Pre-Primary Level (Nursery and Kindergarten)

  1. Learning is made interesting, fun and activity oriented at this level.
  2. Participation of the students is encouraged through activities as drawing and coloring, group games, clay moulding, puzzles, flash cards and conversations.
  3. Poems and stories are dramatized using expressive actions.
  4. Focus is on developing communication skills and on reinforcing an innate sense of discovery in everything that is taught.
  5. Children learn to comprehend through a multi sensory approach as concepts in Number Work, concepts are made clear with the use of multimedia.
